Delyth Jones Consulting Limited delivers expert consultancy services to enterprises in the UK and Internationally, helping them specifically with their proposal and tender management and more generally with their lead generation to grow their businesses.
We are a successful and growing micro-SME.
We do not produce, manufacture or retail physical products and therefore have no supply chains supporting such activities.
We believe that every company, indeed every individual, has an immediate role to play in protecting our environment from harmful greenhouse gases.
As a business in Wales, we are compliant with the waste recycling law of April 2024, which requires all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling. The Welsh Government introduced this law to improve the quality and quantity of how we collect and separate waste.
We separate the following materials which are collected and recycled separately:
- Food
- Paper and card
- Glass
- Metal, plastic and cartons
- Unsold textiles
- Unsold small waste electrical and electronic equipment (sWEEE)
As supporters of the UN’s Race to Zero Campaign, we commit to :
· Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030
· Achieve net zero emissions before 2050
We encourage our suppliers, customers and business contacts to consider this membership too as part of their own journey to becoming carbon neutral.
We also acknowledge that our Race to Zero journey can start with the following immediate steps:
· Home working – our team are home-workers. We regularly use Microsoft Teams (or Zoom/Google places) on a daily basis for internal and customer meetings.
· Travel – when we do travel, we look to use public transport where possible rather than cars.
· Cars – as our leasing contracts renew over the coming months/years we will consider replacing our current petrol/diesel cars with hybrid or electric equivalents.
· Energy – within our home offices :
o As our fixed term energy contracts renew for all of our home energy contracts, we will consider renewing a green or greener energy options with our energy suppliers;
o We are considering solar panel usage within our home environments
o We are replacing tradition and halogen lightbulbs with LED lightbulbs
o We have identified insulation improvements/opportunities for our home office environments too, including energy-efficient boilers
o We are also mindful of energy efficiencies that can be implemented within our business office and home office environments including
§ Switching off lights and devices when not in use
§ Only boiling the water needed for tea/coffee not the full kettle
§ Water capture and recycling
· Recycling – we recycling paper, glass and plastics as required by the law in Wales
· Pensions – during our annual pension reviews we are now also mindful of the investment choices we are each able to make in our company pensions. We will consider inclusion of greener investment choices where these are available and offer equivalent rates of return to more traditional investment options.
We will continue to monitor this key area to help maintain the high ethical standard by which we run our business.
